The University Chaplaincy is an important, integral part of the education provided by the Pázmány Péter Catholic University. Their tasks are carried out by one or more university chaplains serving the whole university or the separate faculties. The chaplain is appointed on the proposal of the Rector by the local diocesan, or by the Chancellor with the consent of a monastic prefect.
