Dear Successful Applicant,

Congratulations on your successful admission! We warmly welcome you to the student community of our University. The following information is provided to help ease your transition into university life.

NEPTUN SYSTEM

You can track your academic matters and official notifications from the University through the Neptun academic administration system. Information on how to access the Neptun student web interface was provided in your Decision of Admission. You can find your admission decision by logging into the system and navigating to Studies > Advancement > Registry record > Official notes.

ENROLLMENT FORM

Please download your enrollment form from your Neptun under Administration > General Forms and verify the accuracy of the information provided. The details must match exactly with the information in your official documents!

If your email address or phone number is not correct, you can update your details in your Neptun account (Profile menu > Personal information).

In case of discrepancies in your document details, please urgently send the correct information via email to your Academic Coordinator within one week of receiving your admission notice. This ensures that the data can be corrected before enrollment.

Once your data has been corrected, you must download the enrollment form again to review the updated information. Please print and sign the enrollment form with the corrected data. Please note that by signing, you also confirm that you have read the contents of the General Educational Information for the current academic year and that you are aware of and accept the current regulations of the University as binding.

THE ENROLLMENT PROCESS

1. Enrollment in Person

The date and location of your enrollment are specified in your admission notice. If you are unable to attend in person or send a representative at the designated time, please contact your Academic Coordinator to arrange an alternative appointment. (The authorization form can be downloaded HERE.) A link to detailed faculty-specific information on personal enrollment is provided at the bottom of this page. Please ensure you bring the following items with you for enrollment.

  • Enrollment form one printed and signed copy
    • You can print it in Neptun under Administration > General forms
  • Personal identification documents Bring the originals (ID card, passport, address card, tax card, and social security card)
  • Proof of Fulfillment of Entry Conditions Bring the originals and one photocopy of all documents confirming you have met the entry requirements and earned the admission points:
    • secondary school certificate and/or university degree;
    • language exam certificate; or other documents verifying language proficiency;
  • Fire and Occupational Safety Declaration one printed completed and signed copy (available for download HERE)
  • Passport photo a small, recent portrait photo (35x45mm)
    • ITK: No passport photo is required, as a digital photo will be taken during enrollment.
  • Study Contract (only for self-financed students!) two printed and signed copies
    • You can print it in Neptun under Administration > General forms
2. Registration for the Semester and Courses in Neptun

After enrollment, students must register for an active semester in the Neptun system. Failure to complete this step will invalidate the enrollment and prevent the establishment of student status. To register, go to Administration > Term registration in Neptun. Once the semester registration is complete, you can register for courses under Subject > Register for subject. The deadlines for registration, course enrollment, and other activities are specified in the semester schedule.

3. Payment of the Tuition Fee

For students admitted to self-financed programs, enrollment is conditional upon payment of the tuition fee for the semester or initiating the Student Loan 2 (Diákhitel 2) authorization process. The payment obligation must be fulfilled by the deadline specified in the semester schedule via the Finances > To be paid menu in Neptun.

4. Finalizing Enrolment

Following the registration period, the Academic Administrations Office will verify whether all enrollment requirements have been met. If so, the enrollment form will be validated, and your enrollment will be finalized in the Neptun system. From this point, you will officially be considered a student of the University, enabling you to request a certificate of student status and apply for a student ID. A copy of your validated enrollment form can be collected from your academic coordinator.

FINANCING CLASSIFICATION

According to Sections 48 (2)-(3) of Act CCIV of 2011 on National Higher Education, the classification as either state-funded (Hungarian state scholarship) or self-financed applies to one academic year in bachelor's, undivided, or master's programs.* After this period, the financing form may change based on academic performance. Students admitted to self-financed programs must sign a Training Agreement with the University before enrollment. Students admitted to state-funded programs must declare their acceptance of the conditions of the state scholarship on the enrollment form (except for those admitted to doctoral programs). If, after enrollment in the state-funded program, the Higher Education Information System (FIR) reveals that the student has no remaining funded semesters, their studies can only continue in the self-financed form.

* For international students receiving a government scholarship (e.g. Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship, Scholarship for Young Christian People, Hungarian Diaspora Scholarship), the provisions outlined in the scholarship agreement shall apply.
