ABOUT THE FACULTY
The Faculty of Information Technology and Bionics (ITK) at Pázmány Péter Catholic University is a unique centre where computer science, engineering, and the life sciences meet. Our mission is to educate future innovators and researchers who develop technologies that advance science, industry, and human well-being. Rooted in Hungary’s strong scientific traditions yet fully international in outlook, ITK offers English-language Master’s and Doctoral programs, vibrant exchange opportunities, and extensive research collaborations across Europe and beyond. Our graduates pursue successful global careers, while our research contributes to frontier fields from artificial intelligence and bioinformatics to brain–computer interfaces, intelligent prosthetics, and molecular diagnostics.
Education and research form a seamless whole: students join cutting-edge projects from early on, working in more than 30 state-of-the-art laboratories alongside scientists and industry experts. Our location in Budapest’s innovation district - next to leading partners such as Semmelweis University, the Institute of Experimental Medicine, Nokia Skypark, and Corvin Innovation Campus - fosters daily collaboration and technology transfer.
