About the CEEPUS Program

The aim of the CEEPUS (Central European Exchange Programme for University Studies) is to enable student and teacher mobility, organize special courses and student excursions between partner institutions cooperating in the field of higher education, and support the development of long-term professional cooperation in the region, thereby promoting the strengthening of the strategic role of Central Europe.

CEEPUS countries

Currently, you can travel to accredited higher education institutions in the following countries with CEEPUS support: Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, North Macedonia, Croatia, Kosovo, Poland, Hungary, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia.

Within the framework of the program, students and staff have the opportunity to carry out mobilities in higher education institutions in CEEPUS countries. You can apply within a network or with a freemover application.

Pázmány Péter Catholic University is a member of 5 CEEPUS networks, about which you can find more information here. If there is a Network among them whose topic is relevant to the applicant, a network mobility application can be submitted.

If you do not find a suitable application opportunity among the CEEPUS Networks operating in Pázmány, you have the opportunity to join the program as a freemover, if the networks have not used their available funds. In the freemover application type, students and teachers with active status in any higher education institution in the CEEPUS countries can submit an application to any accredited higher education institution in other CEEPUS countries. Freemover applications are primarly available for the spring semester. Applications for the fall semester can be submitted in a separate call.
