The Secretary General of International Federation of Catholic Universities (IFCU) visited our University

2024.04.04.

On April 2, Rector Rev. Mons. Dr. Géza Kuminetz, met Francois Mabille, Secretary General of the International Federation of Catholic Universities (IFCU), in his office. Our University is a member of the Paris-based organization that celebrates its centenary this year and brings together the world's Catholic universities. The parties reviewed the challenges that Catholic universities have to face and the future opportunities for cooperation. Vice-Rector Rev. Dr. Krisztián Vincze also took part in the meeting, who emphasized the interdependence of Catholic universities and called for increased cooperation, for example in the field of publications. The Secretary General of the IFCU reported that the organization has several thematic working groups, e.g. in topics related to the application of artificial intelligence concerning the social teaching of the Catholic Church, in which the participation of our University's teachers and researchers is expected. As a result of the meeting, in the near future, we will have the opportunity to present PPKE to the member universities of IFCU in a webinar.
