Visit of Korean Delegation at our University
On the 4th of October, a Delegation from our partner university, Seoul National University of Science and Technology (SeoulTech), led by President Prof. Dr. Lee Donghoon, was welcomed by Vice-Rector Rev. Dr. Krisztián Vincze, and Dean Dr. György Cserey at the building of the Faculty of Information Technology and Bionics. SeoulTech University is ranked at high places in both Korean and international university rankings, so the interest from their side to visit our University marks the high quality of education and research going at Pázmány Péter Catholic University. Although not a Catholic University, SeoulTech really values compassion and mutual respect when dealing with students, which is why they are looking for a cooperation relationship with Pázmány, as was emphasized by President Lee and Provost for International Affairs, Prof. Dr. Lee Chaewon. The Parties reviewed the cooperation of the two universities so far, as well as the possible future directions of development. President Lee stated as a goal to welcome more students from Pázmány in the near future at their university, based on the agreement signed by the two Parties back in 2017. SoulTech would also be open to sending Korean students to study at our University. The leaders and executives of SeoulTech who were present at the meeting, very supportively received the proposal from Dean Dr. György Cserey about the initiation of a joint PhD program in the future. After the discussion, the Korean Delegation visited the Sensory Robotics Laboratory of the Faculty of Information Technology and Bionics, where they had the opportunity to take a look at the research going on at our University.
