Hello! My name is Kató. 32 years old and I'm from Gyergyószentmiklós, a small town in Transylvania, Romania. I am a second year student of Pastoral Counselling MA at the Faculty of Roman Catholic Theology and of Psychology BA at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences. I study both subjects at Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, Romania This is the second year that I have come to study at Pázmány within the Erasmus+ programme, which I am very happy about. This year I am studying Roman Catholic Canon Law. I decided to come here because this university offers a study option that I am interested in and I wanted to see for myself what it is like.
One of the biggest challenges of studying abroad is to adapt to the academic system, learn about new platforms and get the administration right. As this is my second year here, and it has been much easier this year.
Outside the regular classes, I mainly attend the academic lectures and conferences organised by the university, of which there is a wide variety. In my free time, I mainly meet up with friends and try to discover new places in Budapest.
If you're thinking about studying here for a few months, five months or even a whole year, I think it's definitely worth it. Basically, things go smoothly in terms of administration, the people are nice and there is a wide range of education on offer. It's a great way to gain experience. I was a bit scared at first, but I don't regret it at all!
