The 36th EAIE Conference and Exhibition took place in Glasgow, United Kingdom, from 8 to 11 September 2026. The European Association for International Education (EAIE) is a prominent, non-profit, member-led organization dedicated to advancing the internationalization of higher education. The annual EAIE conferences provide a unique platform for networking with a wide array of higher education professionals globally, fostering partnerships, exchanging experiences and best practices, and exploring the latest industry trends.

This year's event, organized in the vibrant city of Glasgow, in Scotland featured an extensive program including plenary sessions, thematic workshops, spotlight sessions, and a traditional education fair, in addition to innovative networking formats. More than 7300 international education professionals from over 100 countries joined for four unforgettable days of learning, networking and connection, under the slogan of „Rythm or revolution”.

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Tempus Public Foundation this year, a large joint Study in Hungary booth was established at the event, where PPKE was present alongside 11 other participating Hungarian universities. The exhibition allowed to the institutions to showcase their academic programs, mobility initiatives, research and cooperation possibilities and internationalization services. Our representatives focused on key strategic areas such as student recruitment, expanding international student services, strengthening existing Erasmus+ and bilateral cooperations, promoting Stipendium Hungariucum and exploring new partnership opportunities with global higher education institutions.

The 36th EAIE conference provided an invaluable platform for Pázmány Péter Catholic University to deepen its engagement with the global higher education community. Participation in the EAIE Conference places PPKE on the international higher education map and enhances its visibility. The insights gained and connections established during the event will significantly support the University’s strategic goals in enhancing its international academic impact and fostering sustainable partner networks.
