Pázmány Péter Catholic University visits Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University in Bishkek

2025.03.11.

On March 6, 2025, a delegation of four members from Pázmány Péter Catholic University visited the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University in Bishkek.

We recently signed a cooperation agreement with the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University and submitted a joint Erasmus+ international credit mobility application. We consider it important that our University is also present in the Central Asian region and that we provide mobility opportunities for our students interested in the region, its history and archaeology.

During our university's visit, Rector Alpaslan Ceylan and Co-Rector Almaz Ibraev received the delegation. Manas University is maintained by the Turkish state and has a huge, modern, fully equipped campus, which is almost unique in Central Asia.

In addition to visiting the campus, the Pázmány delegation visited the University's Department of Communication and Media, where an interview was also conducted with Dr. Ákos Bence Tamássy, Head of the Central Office for Foreign Affairs, about the relationship between the two universities and its future prospects.
