Altogether nine guests participated in the partner visit, during which several faculties of our University introduced themselves, providing a comprehensive overview of our academic programmes, research activities, and international relations.
The Faculty of Law has maintained a fruitful partnership with Strathmore University for several years. Numerous mobility activities involving faculty members, staff, and students have already been implemented with the Nairobi-based institution. The Kenyan partner was represented by Lucy Kithinji, Manager of the Post Graduate Programs Office; Josephine Njeri Kairo, lecturer at the Strathmore Law Clinic; George Gitau Karanja, administrator of the Strathmore Dispute Resolution Centre; and Evans Ijakaa, Communications Officer.
The Ukrainian Catholic University is also a long-standing and important partner of Pázmány Péter Catholic University. The two institutions maintain regular contact within the framework of the Catholic Universities Partnership, and several mobility programmes have been carried out over the years. Ms Emiliia Honcharova, Head of the Projects and Programmes Department, participated in the meeting on behalf of the Ukrainian partner.
From the University of Salento in Lecce, two colleagues attended the meeting under the leadership of Paola D’Amico, Communication specialist.
The meeting provided an excellent opportunity for dialogue, networking, and mutual presentation among the participating institutions.
Representing PPKE, Dr. Bence Ákos Tamássy, Head of the Central Office for Foreign Affairs, introduced the University and its international relations. His presentation included a brief history of the institution, an overview of its four faculties, as well as information on Erasmus partnerships and scholarship opportunities available to international students.

From the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Tamás Hógenburg, Head of the Office of International Relations, presented the faculty’s institutes, departments, and study programmes.

Mónika Barnáné Ódor, international coordinator, introduced the programmes, research areas, and international student community of the Faculty of Information Technology and Bionics.

Among the guest institutions, Strathmore University also delivered a presentation. In her talk, Josephine Njeri Kairo introduced the academic offerings, cooperation opportunities, and activities of the Strathmore University Law School. Special attention was given to the law clinic programme, which provides free legal assistance and representation to vulnerable members of society and marginalized communities.

Emiliia Honcharova presented a similar initiative from the Ukrainian Catholic University Law School, in which law students provide legal assistance to war veterans and soldiers.

The meeting offered all participants an opportunity to exchange best practices, strengthen institutional ties, and explore future areas of cooperation, further enhancing the diverse international network of our University.
