The Pázmány ITK International Mentor Community kicked off the new academic year with a training and team-building day focused on getting to know each other, strengthening teamwork, and preparing for the semester ahead.

Artur Sahakyan, a Computer Science Engineering MSc student at our Faculty of Information Technology and Bionics, recently achieved first place in the regional round of the prestigious International Quant Championship, a global competition in quantitative analysis and data science. In this interview, Artur discusses his path from Armenia to Hungary, his academic interests, his experience in the competition, and his vision for the future. His academic journey and international mindset reflect the strengths of Pázmány ITK’s English-taught, research-oriented master’s programmes, showing how strong academic foundations, international experience and curiosity can lead to outstanding achievements.

Imagine 21 students from 15 countries, all in one city, learning, exploring, and figuring out life in Budapest together. That’s the IPCV cohort who started their studies in September 2025. We spoke with students about their first semester at Pázmány ITK: from late-night coding sessions and library marathons to sunrises by the Parliament and unforgettable cohort moments. As they look ahead to their semester in Madrid, they share stories of friendship, growth, and the little moments that made Budapest feel like home.
