The Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK) organized an award ceremony for the insignia of Doctorate Honoris Causa in Theology, which was presented to His Eminence Cardinal ERDŐ Péter, Primate of Hungary on 18th of April by Hady Mahfouz, President of USEK.

Cardinal ERDŐ Péter’s visit to Lebanon have had several causes: apart from receiving the insignia he engaged in conversation about bringing PPCU and USEK closer. He also wishes to take part in helping the plight of refugees: even though Lebanon is currently not at war, the one and half million refugees are a serious burden on a country with 6 million population. Cardinal ERDŐ Péter is working with the Caritas Internationalis in Lebanon to receive help from the Caritas Hungary.
