PPCU participating in APAIE annual conference

2018.04.09.

Part of its international promotion PPCU has sent three delegates involved in international affairs to the annual Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE) conference in Singapore. APAIE aims to encourage greater cooperation between institutions, to enrich and support international programs, activities and exchanges, and to promote the value of international education across the region and beyond.

With similar goals in mind with an emphasis on our Far East network the delegation has attended over 20 meetings with existing and potential partner institutions from the Philippines, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Australia, Malaysia and the US (Hawaii).

Besides the usual networking events and open exhibition the conference also offered seminars and workshops for those interested in the current challenges, the newest achievements and innovation strategies of the international higher education scene, arranged around the topics of empowering future-ready graduates, technological advances impacting internationalization in higher education, new modalities in global engagement & mobility and regional reports.

The networking events, promotional opportunities and the seminars together provide a worthwhile experience for all institutions actively involved in foreign affairs, resulting in all-time high interest in this year's conference.
The Central Directorate for Foreign Affairs of PPCU is thankful for the opportunity and will focus fostering current relations and the promotion of our outstanding institution in new areas as well.
