Following up on Kut University College's presidential invitation, Prof. Szabolcs Szuromi, President of PPCU has embarked on an official visit to Talib Z. Almosawi. During his visitation Prof. Szuromi signed an education and research development cooperation agreement with Kut University College on the 15th of March.

The solemn event was honored with the presence of the governor of the Wasit Governorate, with whom the possibilities for developing the region were discussed separately.

The inter-university cooperation not only involves the launching of joint research programs, the holding of multi-week (shared) professional lecture series and post - graduate teacher and student mobility in the field of human and technical sciences; but also includes the establishment of a joint institute to promote Catholic - Islamic dialogue. The discussions also involved the definition of the soon-to-established institute's profile and the development of the first joint publication, a volume written in four languages.

Prof. Szuromi also gave a lecture titled 'The principles of dialogue between Islam and Christianity' at Kut University College on the 14th of March.

As part of his official itinerary, the President of PPCU has paid a visit to the holy sites of Karbala and Najaf, and also partake in negotiations with Sheikh Abdul-Mahdi Al-Karbalai in Karbala and Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Muhammad Sa'id al-Tabataba'i al-Hakim in Najaf.
