2019.11.14.

Quality assurance is increasingly stressed out in the social environment, including in higher education and academia. In the spirit of this requirement, a conference was held at Pázmány Péter Catholic University (PPCU) on 14 November. The University's Mission Statement was declared and published on the same occasion.
Rector of PPCU, Father Géza Kuminetz emphasized: "The mission of our University is to conduct research at a high level to serve man and society in order to play a decisive role in the academic spheres in our country. PPCU does not want to compete with other universities, but instead it guides and strives to be the best of its kind, both in absolute and relative terms. PPCU wants to launch students who have found their profession and mission and have developed sufficient intellectual and personal abilities during their studies. Our goal is to equip students with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in the labor market. The management of the University encourages its employees to become acquainted with the quality policy of PPCU, to show high standards in their life and work, to continuously improve their knowledge, and to develop their personality consistently. In order to achieve this, the management of the University is committed and plays an active role in the operation and development of the quality assurance system."
Csaba Szilágyi, Vice-Rector for Education and Strategies spoke about the renewal of the University's quality assurance system. "When it comes to quality assurance, it means doing quality management, doing quality work at the University. It can only be built on mutual trust between the people who work here."
János Frivaldszky, Vice-Rector for Research and International Relations pointed out that "PPCU is not a service-providing, but much more a serving University. We serve truth and, through truth, we serve society. The reference frame for the University is primarily the European and North American cultural region. An important part of our mission is helping Christians who need our support." In this regard, he mentioned the Middle East and Armenia as examples.
