The Head of the Canon Law Institute of PPCU, Dr. SZUROMI Szabolcs DSc. has uncovered various fields of scientific activity during his three days stay in Rome. The first step of furthering the scientific recognition of the institute, Dr.  SZUROMI has actively participated in the symposium of La maturità dei fidanzati nella preparazione al matrimonio (The maturity of the engaged in preparation for marriage), organized by Pontifical University of the Holy Cross, which institution is a well-known expert of Canon Law and Theology. Secondly Dr. SZUROMI has also engaged in the session of Un tempo per la propria formazione sacerdotale e per la formazione al servizio vocazionale nella Chiesa  (A time for their priestly formation and for the vocational training service in the Church), in the company of Roman faculties and institutions involved in clergy training. During his stay Dr. SZUROMI gave three lectures, first in the Collegio S. Norberto tiled La presente storia della chiese cristiane d'Oriente (History of the Christian churches of the East), second for the postgraduates of Pontificia Università Gregoriana, Pontificia Università Urbaniana, Pontificia Università S. Tommaso d'Aquino, Pontificia Università della Santa Croce and Pontificia Facoltà Teologica e Pontificio Instituto di Spiritualità "Teresianum" titled Osservazioni sull'Istruzione Ad resurgendum cum Christo circa la sepoltura dei defunti e la conservazione delle ceneri in caso di cremazione (Instruction of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, “Ad resurgendum cum Christo”, regarding the burial of the deceased and the conservation of the ashes in the case of cremation), and last but not least about the most up-to-date Codicological and paleographic results of the research in St. Petersburg for the session of Instituto de Derecho Europeo Clásico. As a finishing touch the President has also continued the moderation of the two dissertations seated in Rome, and has successfully identified four scripts of Canon Law in location and era from the 8th to the 13th century.
