After a successful meeting during this year's NAFSA conference in Los Angeles Seoul National University of Science and Technology (SeoulTech) and Pázmány Péter Catholic University (PPCU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding as the foundation for future cooperation between two higher education institutions both outstanding in the field of engineering in their own milieu.

We were happy to welcome the Delegation of SeoulTech, President Prof. Jong Ho Kim, Prof. Kiheon Nam, Dean of Office of International Education, Prof. Jin-Wook Kim, Dean of Office of Academic Affairs and the organizer, Sarah Choi, Coordinator of Office of International Education, whom were welcomed by our President, Prof. Szabolcs Szuromi and Dr. Nóra Dégi, Director of Foreign Affairs.

A few words about our newest partner:

1. SeoulTech is originated from a Vocational Supplementary School established in 1910 by Emperor Gojong's Royal Decree.
2. Their motto is 'Your Future, Our vision'.
3. The two universities are roughly same in size with around 11,500 student capita on SeoulTech's side.
4. About half of the student body benefit from a scholarship program which offers education at a comparatively low cost.
5. SeoulTech is ranked 15th in field of Science and Engineering in 2015 among Korean universities.
6. They have 23 departments, out which the College of Information & Telecommunication and the College of Energy and Biotechnology are a perfect match for PPCU's Faculty of Information Technology and Bionics.
7. Their library boosts 600,987 volumes, 11,928 e-books, 23,259 audiovisual materials, and 446 periodicals and academic journals published domestically and abroad.
8. SeoulTech's Institute for Language Education & Research is a developing PLC (Professional Learning Community), focused on modernizing curriculum, expanding opportunities for research and publication, and fostering a spirit of intercultural exchange.
